Art Deco German Casige model 1015 toy sewing machine circa 1940’s vintage
Casige
This is a vintage Casige model 1015 toy sewing machine, manufactured in Germany, likely between the 1930s and 1950s. The machine features a black pressed steel body adorned with colorful Art Deco-style geometric ornaments. These miniature machines were functional, designed to teach children how to sew, specifically producing a single-thread chain stitch. This item is being sold as is. It may be missing parts as I am not familiar with sewing machines. Minimal paint loss and surface rust noted. Lever on front seems to work properly. With some difficulty I can turn the back mechanism by the metal part, not the wooden knob. Please see video for better explanation. Interesting piece for collection or display. If you have any questions please feel free to ask? Thank you!
