[Why UDG dry bags have no seams]
DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric) is a highly waterproof material, but its weakness is that needle holes from sewing can easily expand under pressure. Under Dog Gear finishes the body of the bag entirely without using a sewing machine, relying solely on bonded seams. This method involves sandwiching a special double-sided tape between the fabric layers and bonding them with heat and pressure. No stitches mean no leaks. Sewing is limited only to the roll-top opening, ensuring a higher level of waterproofing than typical dry bags that rely on seam sealing.
The material used is a thicker 1.43oz DCF. It's tougher than the thinner DCF used in UL gear, providing peace of mind even when rubbing against other gear inside your pack.
