The inner lining diffuses the light, giving off a soft glow. The top and base are made of carved dark wood. Pre-owned, good used condition. There is a dark (heat burn?) mark on the inside ... see last photo. Seller strongly suggests the buyer replace the lamp cord before using (minimal cost). The original one operates with a rotary switch. Ships from a smoke-free home, packed with care. In order to best protect all the parts, the light will be disassembled and the parts individually wrapped.
