Description
Monumental Art Nouveau brass candlestick attributed to Gustave Serrurier-Bovy showcases the architect's signature geometric structuralism and industrial elegance. This substantial piece features a tapered central column supported by a wide conical base, accented by a distinctive angular handle and a side-mounted matchbox holder. The construction utilizes visible rivets and bold, clean lines characteristic of the Belgian Secessionist movement. Its warm brass patina has developed naturally over time, highlighting the architectural silhouette and functionalist design elements that bridge the gap between late 19th-century craft and modernism. 9 high 6 base Brand: Attributed to Gustave Serrurier-Bovy Material: Brass Style: Art Nouveau / Dutch Secession Origin: The Netherlands Design: Geometric / Structuralist Feature: Matchbox Holder Feature: Riveted Construction Finish: Natural Aged Patina Keywords: Antique Brass, Dutch Design, Secessionist, Arts and Crafts, Architectural, Geometric Decor, Rare Collectible, Industrial Chic
